Every year before Easter Michelin hosts an Easter Egg hunt for all the kids! Last year was the first year I took the boys, and this year Roger was off and could come too (Yeah!!!)! The morning starts off with the egg hunt, and since they spilt the kids into age groups and the hunts all begin at the same time in different spots of the park (in Gilbert), I don't have a single picture of the actual egg hunt! But, I do have lots of other pictures of the other things throughout the morning! The boys had a blast!!!
Holding one of the bunnies is always one of their favorite things to do when we come here! I'm always amazed at how calm the bunnies are as they are passed around from kid to kid! I've never seen one get away, and I've never seen one bite! I can understand why Austin and Logan both love holding and petting them!
What family Michelin event would be complete without Mr.Bib (aka "the Michelin Man")?
Both our boys taking a minute (and ONLY a minute) to take a quick picture with the Easter Bunny. I think they were worried if they skipped over him there that he might skip over house when it was time to hide the eggs and fill their baskets!
The bubble station...so after watching BOTH my boys play with the big bubble wands, I am thinking that investing in a couple frisbies and big wands would be a good idea! They had a blast making the big bubbles!!!
So, we go there with sweet, "innocent" boys...and come out with a Red, fire-breathing dragon and a Tiger (which now claims to be a Clemson fan because one of his good friends is a huge tiger fan...UGH!!!). They both had a blast, and Roger and I had fun watching them!!! Days like these are the ones that make me feel good and the memories stick with us all!

And, the Crickets Stole the Thunder...
We kicked off the first day of Spring (a beautiful one at that!) with a fun-filled family day of fishing together at Carolyn's house/pond. Both boys were really excited about going...especially Logan because he got his very own pole just for this trip! Logan will tell you that he doesn't have any patients, and for those of you that fish that is sort of a requirement. Once he cast his pole (with help after the first few tries ended up in trees, on the bank, or too close to one of us) out he didn't want to let it sit at all before reeling it in. Austin wanted to leave his out there, but after a while of not even getting any bites he'd rather play and do something else and have us call him if his reel caught something. So, it was an afternoon filled of watching the bobber on the water...casting and re-casting...baiting the hooks over and over again...and even re-stringing the poles after they got hung up in the trees (of course the last two things were all Roger's job since I won't touch the crickets and don't know how to re-string the lines right)...but what it was most filled with was us all being together trying to do something fun, and we all had a blast!!! Here are a few pictures of it all...
Here's Austin, Logan, and Roger all sitting with their poles hoping to get a bite to reel in!
Logan with his new pole...I couldn't get him to look at the camera to smile...eyes on the bobber and how quickly he was reeling it in!
After getting no fish afer a few hours the boys seemed to sort of give up and started playing on the trees nearby. They sat and bounced like a seesaw and fought a "dragon" together. Roger and I at least had fun watching the two of them play together without any sort of TV or electronic game...and NO fighting (wahoo)!!!
The highlight of the day for the boys seemed to be as we were cleaning up and they were getting to release the crickets we didn't use. It reminds me of the scene in E.T. when Elliot let the frogs go...Austin kept dumping the crickets out and passing them to Logan. They were letting them crawl all over them and played with them before helping them get away! Makes my skin crawl just thinking about it! They loved it though! They were squealing and having so much fun Carolyn got excited for us thinking they'd finally caught a fish...then we had to tell her it was just the boys playing with the crickets. ;)
Here's Austin getting the crickets out!
Logan kept cracking up laughing at Austin and the crickets tickeling his arms! He also thought it was hilarious when Austin threw one over my head and then chased me with one. There's something about their prickly legs that I can't get past! If I could add a sound on here I would add the cricket chirp sound from Eric Carle's book (for those of you that know the sound I am sure you just "heard" it in your head!)! It was a great day!!!

Loooong Weekend Fun!!!!
Having an extra day off of school with the boys is one of the best perks about being a teacher mommy! I am so glad to be home with them on those extra days! We sure made the most out of this weekend! We filled up the weekend with fun stuff! On Friday we met some friends at Monkey Joes to play. I guess I was too busy keeping up with them and running my mouth because it wasn't until I was making this post that I realized that I didn't snap a single picture while we were there...ugh! NOT like me, but we had fun! Saturday we went to Edventure for a birthday party. It was Logan's first time there, and we all had a blast!
Here are both the boys in front of Eddie. I must say that though Eddie is LOTS of fun for the kids, all the parts of him aren't mommy friendly. It's quite hard to weave in and out of some of the places in there! Good thing I could send Austin with Logan and trust him to help him! He's SUCH a good big brother!!! (Thanks, Austin!!!)
One of Logan's favorite things here was the firetruck. Austin liked being able to crawl through the dark "fire tunnel" and down the firepole!
Austin in the Punch Buggy...he says he doesn't want a real punch buggy, but if it's all he had, he'd drive it! Good thing we have a few years before he's on the roads! That will make me shed a few tears!!!
Here's a picture of Austin & Brooke (his "girlfriend"). They were in pre-school together, and they have managed to keep in touch through soccer and b-day parties! They still light up when they see each other! We went to Edventure for her party!
Bilo Shelves...this is what happens when the little one comes grocery shopping with me. He entertained himself with my camera. When we were there and I realized he had my camera out, I took it from him and put it back up. I'd forgotten he'd done this until I uploaded pics tonight (then couldn't resist posting one...not too bad for a 4 yr old!). This does help prove that I don't go anywhere without my camera! ;)
THE iPod...so, I broke down and got an iPod tonight (Happy "early" Anniversary to me). We've had it less than 3 hours, and already we love it! You can see Logan using it before bedtime already! It does SO much! I must thank my sister (Haylee) for helping me load everything on it! This just might turn out to save me(or my sanity) at the soccer fields between games with the kiddos! Plenty of music, shows, and even a movie....ready to go! ;)

Skating...
This morning we ventured out to Leesville for Bella's birthday party at the skating rink, and I must say it's a really nice one for any of you that like to skate (especially for younger kids). They've re-done the inside and the floor is new, and there is a wooden rail that goes ALL the way around for the beginner skaters that need a little extra support. They also have nice skates that adjust right on top of the little ones' shoes. It's really not too long of a drive, either! Both my boys had a blast!!!
Austin needed no help! He was off and going in no time! He really enjoys skating! He did mention that he was a little worried about falling into or on some of the "little people" as he skated around, but he never did! He's got a few bruises on his legs form a couple falls, but he always got right back up! ;)
Logan started off with "real" skates like Austins, but after two laps around decided he wanted the "other kind" so he could do it by himself like all the other kids! Once he got those on, he wanted me to come for one lap with him and then he "shooed" me away. He even made me take my skates off to ensure that he was out there skaing all by himself just like Austin!!! ;) He did great too! Must have learned from his big brother!
Had to post this one too just cause I thought it was cute...we stopped at Krispy Kreme to get doughnuts for Roger to take to work (and of course, a couple for home too...HOT sign was lit up!), and Logan had a blast sitting in the chair with it's own special table. He wants one like it for our house now...ugh! Good thing he's not in charge of the decorating!
