Daddy's Shoulders
Not too much going on this week to "report"...it's been a busy week with soccer, and the 2nd grade field trip this week, but not too much "new" stuff to post. Austin scored his first goal of the season earlier this week, and then today after his game the next game didn't have enough players to play so him and a few others from his team stayed and helped them out (and then they won!)! Logan played well in his game today too! He gave his coach (and Mommy & Daddy) a heart attack when he was super close to the other goal, but he turned it and took it up field! Phew!!! Logan got to sit in his favorite spot today to watch Austin play....We enjoyed helping Hannah celebrate her 1st birthday on Saturday, and we might go pick strawberries next week with them! So, we should get some good pics (and yummy strawberries) then!!!
Austin going after the ball!!! Way to watch it, Austin!
Even in a good game, there's always time to stop and collect rocks!!!

The Pool is Now Open...
Though the water is too too chilly for me (69-72 degrees), the boys (and other kids) don't think so! We had some family in from W. Virginia this weekend, and while the adults enjoyed a day of hanging out by the pool (on our new pool furniture...wahoo!), the kids enjoyed a day IN the pool! Since I was playing "hostess", I didn't snap too many pictures, but here are a couple that I got...Being their first time in this season, the boys didn't really want to stop and pose for me either! They were too busy playing and squirting each other!
Austin is like a fish! He was the first one in the pool and the last one out. He insisted that he could put his own sunscreen on today, and if he needed help reaching his back he'd get someone outside to help him...well, he must have thought he got it all and didn't need help, and he's gotten himself his first sunburn on the top part of his back. Bet he let's me help him next time! ;)
Logan learned how to swim without his floaties last summer but he was too "nervous" to try without them today. He said he'd only try it if one of us got in with him, and well, that DIDN'T happen. So, when the water warms up, we'll see what he remembers! He sure loved being in the pool though!
As promised, here's a good picture of Austin at his soccer game today. I am really impressed at how well he goes after the ball this year! He's pretty aggressive and doesn't back down, and he's beginning to understand staying in positions and how that is helpful! His team hasn't won yet, but he's done super!
Anyone that has been to the soccer complex on Old Barnwell knows that while you are there you see lots of planes. Apparently it's in the landing path. Today a big Air Force Plane kept flying threw (maybe practicing taking off and landing). All heads would be looking up at this one...it helped get my little ones excited about the air show we are going to in May! Thunderbirds here we come!

Spring Break
I seriously can't believe that as I sit here and type this it is the last night of Spring Break! It sure flew by! But, in about 8 weeks summer will be here! Wahoo!!! We were very busy the first half of the week staining the entire fence and deck. It took a long time, but needed to be done and looks great! We did go see How to Train a Dragon on Wednesday, and it was really good! I also completed all my application requirements to go back to school (I start May 3rd!)! I think I enjoyed the movie as much as the boys! Thursday we stayed home and did nothing (one of the best days of our break!)! I just realized that is the day Logan and I planted our little garden and I didn't take any pictures...ugh! Friday I went to IKEA with two of my sisters, and we are already planning to go back one day this summer! Saturday I ventured out to Publix with my boys, and I giggled as Austin kept pulling out coupons for me throughout the store (I have him hooked too!). Today was our last day off, and we had soccer games. Both boys played great, and the weather was perfect!
Austin, Logan, and Cara (a cousin) getting ready to do their egg hunt at Aunt Rene & Uncle Steve's house on Easter! They were ALL ready to hunt these eggs because each one had money inside! ;) Logan ended up with the most money, then Austin, and then Cara...but they all got close to $8! I wish I could hunt those eggs!
Here's Austin and Logan with the eggs they dyed! They always love this part of Easter!!! Austin was a little more artistic with his. Logan would just plop an egg in any empty color.
We finished off our Spring Break on the soccer field. The weather has been perfect the entire week!!! Roger is working nights this weekend so he couldn't come to these games...that's partly why I don't have a good one of Austin to post! I will focus more on his game next week with the camera! It's just hard when both games are at the same time, and Austin was on the far end of his field...so stay tuned for a good Austin soccer picture next week and some of our garden pics!
